THE UNIQUE WAY TO MEET
When the day of Pentecost came, the church began with one hundred twenty as the initiation. Then that initiation brought in on the very first day of the church life three thousand and then on another day five thousand. They began to meet not according to the Jewish congregational way of the Old Testament nor according to the Roman way nor according to the Greek way. Then who invented the way for the first group of Christians to meet? The Holy Spirit invented the way. We can say this because on that day the one hundred twenty were filled with the Holy Spirit economically. And no doubt the three thousand new converts were also filled with the Holy Spirit. Therefore, whatever they did on that day was initiated by the Holy Spirit. The main thing they did was to begin to meet in the temple for big congregations and in the homes. I like the two phrases in Acts 2:46, day by day and from house to house. It is clear that the way they met had two sides. Perhaps at least three thousand met daily in the temple, a big meeting place. And at the same time they met day by day in the homes.
According to the Greek expression in Acts 2:46, they met from house to house. This indicates that they did not select some houses that would fit their purpose. They met from house to house. They included every house. Today we should have our home meetings entirely according to the Holy Spirit’s created and ordained way. According to our feeling, we may say, “How could every brother have a meeting in his home? There are so many weaker ones. Oh, we had better consider and select some stronger ones.” But we must realize that selecting is not the Holy Spirit’s way—it is the human way. In Chinese this phrase means “door after door.” This indicates no selection, no missing. Whether you are weak or strong, whether old or young, whether knowledgeable or unknowledgeable, as long as you are a believer, you meet in your home…If you are a Christian, if you are a believer, you have to open up your home for meeting. This is the first pattern at the initiation of the church life.
Since the Lord has shown this, I have begun to see all the benefits of this God-created-and-ordained way. If a new one would believe in the Lord, be baptized, and right away begin to open up his home for meetings, this opening up of his home would encourage him and even uphold him. Therefore, we can see that the home meetings are the top way, the super way, and eventually the unique way to meet. ANG BUGTONG PAAGI SA PAGTIGOM
Sa niabot ang adlaw sa pentecostes, nagsugod ang iglseia sa 120 ingog sinugdanan. Nagdala dayon kinig tulo ka libo sa unang adlaw sa iglesiahanong kinabuhi dayon sa sunod nga adlaw lima ka libo. Nagsugod silag tigom dili sumala sa judiohanon nga dinaghang paagi diha sa daang tugon o sumala ba sa paagi sa Roma o sumala sa griyegong paagi. Kinsa man ang nag-imbento sa tigom sa mga unang grupo sa mga cristohanon? Ang Balaang Espiritu ang nag-imbento sa paagi. Makasulti ta niini tungod kay nianang adlawa napuno pag-ayo ang 120 sa Balaang Espiritu sa gawas. Dili ikaduhaduha nga napuno sab ang tulo ka libo nga bag-ong mga nakadangat sa Balaang Espiritu. Busa, bisan unsa ang ilang gibuhat niadtong mga adlawa gipasiugdahan gyod pinaagi sa Balaang Espiritu. Ang unang butang nga gibuhat nila mao ang magtigom sa templo alang sa dinagkaong panagkatigom ug sa balay-balay. Gusto nako ang duha ka pinulongan sa Mga Buhat 2:46, adlaw-adlaw ug sa balay-balay. Klaro kaayo nga ang paagi sa ilang tigom anaa sa duha ka matang. Tingali tulo ka libo ang nagtigom adlaw-adlaw diha sa templo, dinagko nga panagkatigom. Sa samang panahon nagtigom sab sila sa balay-balay.
Sumala sa griyegong pinadayag diha sa Mga Buhat 2:46, nagtigom sila sa balay-balay. Nagtimaan kini nga wala ra sila nagtigom sa pipila ka balay nga makatagbo sa ilahang tuyo. Nagtigom sila sa balay-balay. Lakip niini ang tanang balay. Karon maanaa gyod unta ang tigom nato sa mga balay-balay nga sumala sa gibuhat ug gitudlong paagi sa Balaang Espiritu. Sumala sa atong pagbati, moingon tingali ta, unsaon man maanaay tigom ang matag igsoong lalaki sa iyang balay? Daghang mga nangaluya. Oh, hunahunaon gyod tingali nato pag-ayo ug mopili sa pipila ka mga dasigdasig.” Apan amgohan gyod nato nga dili paagi sa Balaang Espiritu ang mamili – tawhanong paagi ra kini. Kon sa inintsik pa “pultahan kada pultahan.” Nagpasabot nga walay pagpili o walay sal-ang. Kon maluyahon ba ka o dasig, edaran ba o bata-bata, ilado ba o dili ilado, basta magtotoo ka, magtigom gyod sa inyong balay—kon cristohanon ka, kon magtotoo ka, ibukas gyod nimo ang imong balay alang sa tigom. Kini ang unang sumbanan sa sinugdanan sa iglesiahanong kinabuhi.
Kay gipakita man kini sa Ginoo, nakita nako ang tanang kaayohan sa gibuhat-sa- ug-gitudlong-paagi sa Dios. Kon motoo ang usa ka baghoanon sa Ginoo, nabautismohan ug diha-dayon nibukas siya sa iyang balay alang sa tigom, makapadasig kini kaniya ug makalig-on kaniya kining klaseha nga pagbukas. Busa, makita nato nga ang tigom sa balay mao ang labing habog nga paagi, ang maayong paagi, ug sa ngadto-ngadto mahimong bugtong paagi sa pagtigom.
